General Information

The United Federation of Phoenix is the southwest's oldest Star Trek and science fiction fan organization, continuously operating since 1975. The club meets every two weeks at various locations around the Phoenix metropolitan area. As a group we have picnics, go bowling, watch science fiction, see movies, play games, as well as other things. We also have a monthly newsletter, Subspace Chatter, which highlights science fiction and sci-fi media happenings, as well as other events that pretain to fandom. If you are in the Phoenix area and would like to attend one of our meetings, please contact Jim Strait, as he can fill you in on the details.

Nov, 2006 - UFP Member Frank McShane passes away.
A tribute page has been started here.

Oct 2006 - The U.F.P. is sponsoring the appearance of Jewel Staite at DarkCon 2007!
Jewel is best know for her role as Kaylee in the Firefly TV series & the Serenity movie based on the series. She has had many other roles and will be appearing in a regular role in Season 4 of Stargate Atlantis starting in July 2007.

Friday May 9 - Sunday, May 11 - LepreCon 34 in Casa Grande, AZ UFP SciFi Jeopardy on Friday night.
